Biggest iceberg moving towards South Georgia
The largest iceberg in the world is currently moving and may soon collide with a remote British island.
Referred to as the 'queen of icebergs', it is heading north from Antarctica toward South Georgia, a British territory known for its wildlife, where it could become grounded and break apart.
Icebergs are notoriously unpredictable, and their future movements are uncertain.
However, should it reach South Georgia, it could pose challenges for wildlife, as large icebergs can obstruct their access to food.
The territory, South Georgia, is home to colonies of King Emperor penguins and millions of elephant seals and fur seals whose lives would be in danger if the iceberg collision occurs.
