Multiple wins for Kendrick Lamar at the Grammy’s
Immediately following his victory for Record Of The Year, Kendrick Lamar and his collaborators returned from backstage at the 2025 GRAMMYs to accept the award for Song Of The Year.
Lamar appeared speechless and "starstruck" as he received the golden gramophone from presenter Diana Ross, a 13-time GRAMMY nominee. In his speech, he acknowledged influential west coast rap artists such as G Malone, Problem, and Maestro, along with his former labelmates Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock.
"This is what it’s about man, because at the end of the day, nothing is more powerful than rap music," he said. "We are the culture, it’s gonna always stay here and live forever."
Having achieved success across all of his categories, the song also secured three GRAMMY Awards earlier in the day for Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Music Video during the Premiere Ceremony.
