2Baba Idibia announces that he is divorcing Annie Idibia

On Sunday 26 January, 2Baba announced via an Instagram post that he and his actress wife of 20 years, Annie, are getting divorced.

This comes after much rumours of alleged substance abuse and trouble in the marriage.

Annie claimed on tv that she has known 2Baba since she was 15 years old and he was 24. They got married and before Annie bore any children, 2Baba fathered 4 children outside the marriage.

Annie Idibia accepted the situation and later had a child, her first child with 2Baba was his 5th.

The marriage appeared tumultuous, with allegations of constant cheating and more children outside the home from 2Baba.

It is also alleged that the family of 2Baba did not like Annie, but Annie still stuck it out.

On his Instagram post, the 49 year old musician, 2Baba, said that he and Annie had been separated for a while.

"I and Annie Macauley have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce," he said in the Instagram post.

Recent pictures and videos of Annie showed that all was not well as she did not present herself in her usual stylish way but rather looked unkempt.

It is alleged that Annie is not taking this news well and that she has checked into rehab.

The couple has unfollowed each other on social media platforms.
